Information I collect

I collect personal information only when you choose to provide it through the contact form. This may include:

Providing this information is voluntary. However, without a valid email address and sufficient information about your enquiry, I may be unable to respond.

My hosting provider may also process limited technical information in server and security logs, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page and the date and time of a request. This information is used only to operate, protect and troubleshoot the website. It is not used for visitor profiling or marketing.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message unless it is genuinely necessary.

How I use your information

I use personal information to:

• Read and respond to messages
• Manage reader and professional correspondence
• Consider publishing, rights, media, event or collaboration enquiries
• Protect the website and contact form from abuse
• Comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary

The applicable legal basis will ordinarily be my legitimate interest in responding to genuine correspondence and operating the website securely. Where an enquiry concerns a possible professional arrangement, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. I do not use contact information for newsletters or promotional marketing unless you separately and explicitly request or agree to that use.

Contact-form processing

The contact form is provided through WPForms Lite. Remote Lite Connect entry backups are disabled.

Form submissions are delivered to my Namecheap Private Email inbox. The website’s hosting, form and email providers may process information only to the extent necessary to provide their technical services.

I do not sell, rent or share personal information with advertisers or data brokers. Information may be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect my legal rights or the rights and safety of others.

International data transfers

Some technical service providers or their infrastructure partners may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where GDPR safeguards are required, the relevant provider’s lawful transfer mechanisms apply, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards.

How long I retain information

Routine contact messages are kept only for as long as necessary to respond and manage the relevant correspondence and are normally reviewed for deletion within 12 months after the last meaningful interaction.

Professional correspondence may be retained for longer while an enquiry, working relationship or potential agreement remains active, or where retention is reasonably necessary for legal, accounting or record-keeping purposes.

Technical server and security logs are retained only for the operational periods applied by the relevant hosting or security provider.

Cookies and visitor tracking

This website does not currently use analytics, advertising technology or visitor-tracking tools. WPForms Lite does not use visitor cookies for form submissions.

Strictly necessary cookies may be used for website administration, security or other essential technical functions. These are not used to monitor ordinary visitors for advertising or behavioural profiling.

If analytics, embedded third-party media or other non-essential technologies are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated and consent controls will be introduced where legally required.

The website contains links to external services, including Instagram and TikTok. When you follow an external link, that service may collect information under its own privacy policy. I do not control how third-party websites process personal information.
